Pitfall is a survival horror film from director James Kondelik that critics are calling "intense, gory, and brutal" and "a thrilling, crowd-pleasing survival horror." After a young man gets separated from his friends deep in the woods, he falls into a ten-foot pit of spikes, impaling him through the leg and leaving him trapped. He quickly learns that his fall was not an accident, but the opening move in a deadly hunt orchestrated by a relentless predator who has stalked these woods for decades.
Combining the visceral suspense of 127 Hours with the slasher thrills of Friday the 13th, Pitfall is a tightly-wound chamber piece that turns the forest itself into a weapon. The film stars former UFC heavyweight champion Randy Couture as The Hunter — a silent, bow-wielding killer that Collider's Aidan Kelley described as "Michael Myers with a bow and arrow" — alongside Final Destination: Bloodlines star Richard Harmon as Lars.
Pitfall is an Official Selection of Screamfest Horror Film Festival 2025, the longest-running horror festival in the United States, and Panic Fest 2026, the Kansas City-based genre festival. The film was also featured at the American Film Market (AFM) 2026 as part of Voltage Pictures' slate.
